Radoniqi Dam

The Radoniqi Dam, located near Gjakova in western Kosovo, forms the Radoniq Reservoir, the second-largest in the country. Built in the 1980s, it supplies drinking water to over 200,000 people in Gjakova, Rahovec, and surrounding areas. Operated by KRU Gjakova, it also supports irrigation and industry. The dam is vital for regional water security, with ongoing upgrades to improve capacity, efficiency, and climate resilience.
